Tatsuya (Ted) Tanaka
Chief Executive Officer
Tatsuya (Ted) Tanaka has been with Itochu Corporation, a multi-national trading conglomerate based in Tokyo and the parent company of IPC, since 1995. During his time at Itochu, Ted has developed management expertise in nearly every segment of the energy industry, including oil and gas exploration, international trading, infrastructure investment, and mergers & acquisitions. Ted was appointed CEO and Director of IPC in July 2017.
Senior Vice President / Co-Founder
Randy Jones is a third generation energy industry leader and entrepreneur with a life time of experience, knowledge, and passion for the business. Randy is the co-founder of IPC Fuel Distribution, IPC (USA), Inc. He currently serves as Senior Vice President. Prior to IPC, Randy fulfilled the role of senior executive of multiple private firms in the energy industry. Randy also has been an independent entrepreneur founding several firms in the supply and distribution energy industry.
In his over 30 years of business experience he has worked in all aspects of the petroleum industry including transportation, retail, cardlock, supply, sales, marketing, lubricants, home heating, on site fueling, LNG; with a strong concentration on strategic planning and growth. This includes international work in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia (1993/94) and was founding owner of Vista Energy Transport in 2006. Vista is now an 18 truck petroleum operation in Southern California.
Vice President of Supply & Distribution
Mitch Lewis has served in the oil industry for over 25 years, starting as a dispatcher and eventually working his way to executive leadership. Mitch is currently responsible for IPC’s West Coast regional sales activities and oversees supply and budgetary expectations. Mitch is one of the original members of IPC’s Supply & Distribution senior management team.
Mitch has firsthand experience in virtually all aspects of the petroleum industry including transportation, retail, supply, marketing, lubricants, onsite fueling, with a strong concentration on strategic planning and sales growth. Mitch is also one of the founders of Vista Energy Transport, a fuel transportation company currently serving the Southern California region.
Manager of Government & National Sales
Blanca Hurtado joined IPC in 2007 and has been dedicated to expanding the company’s nationwide presence ever since. During her tenure at IPC, Blanca has championed numerous projects and responsibilities for the company, such as managing government contracts, expanding nationwide sales territories, and expanding renewable diesel use in California, as an essential component in efforts to reduce air pollution across public and private sectors. Blanca prides herself on her interpersonal relationships and fosters a team-first environment not only at IPC but also with her partnerships with businesses throughout the industry.
In addition to her managerial duties in sales and operations, Blanca oversees IPC’s marketing department, and she loves thinking of creative ways to make the IPC brand more visible to consumers. In her over 25 year career has also focused on social media marketing, domestic and international sales of Chevron, Shell, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil oils and lubricants.
Senior Regional Manager
Brent Fergeson currently serves as the Senior Regional Manager for IPC, supervising the supply, trading, and marketing for the Southwest, Mid-Continent and Midwest areas of the United States. Brent has worked in all aspects of the energy segment including pipeline logistics, financial analysis, project development, trading, risk management. Brent is an original member of the IPC distribution management team.
Travis Tucker currently serves as Regional Manager of IPC’s Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Gulf Coast markets, managing bulk inventory procurement and fuel sales. Travis started with IPC in 2011 in business development and was promoted to Sales Manager in 2015. Travis brought to IPC varied energy experience including lubricants, sales management, business development, and credit & collections.
Jim Harper has been with IPC for the past ten years, serving as Regional Manager for the Northern California and Western Nevada regions. Jim oversees the marketing, dispatch and operations segments of these growing areas. An oil industry veteran for nearly thirty years, working his way up from marketer to positions as a regional and branding manager.
Regional Sales Manager
Scott Ziemer entered the fuel distribution industry 24 years ago, beginning his career in sales, where he grew a small book of business to a sales portfolio of record-breaking heights. Scott has been with IPC for 14 years, overseeing the Southern California sales region. Covering branded and delivered business, Scott prides himself on his hands-on approach with customers, operations, and his sales team. Scott has also spearheaded IPC’s successful push to switch customers from traditional diesel fuel to cleaner, more efficient renewable diesel.
Regional Sales & Operations Manager
Kyle joined IPC in May of 2010, bringing with him over twenty years of sales and marketing management experience. He currently serves as the Pacific Northwest Regional Sales, Marketing and Operations Manager. Prior to joining IPC, Kyle held senior executive positions in the sporting goods industry running a successful national sales team.
